Mission to China October/November 2008 We're pleased to present the opportunity for you to take an unforgettable trip to another world this Fall. The SouthPas Chamber is partnering with an experienced travel company, CITSLINC, to offer this trip to citizens of South Pasadena and neighboring communities for the low price of $1,599 - all inclusive! This year, we are offering the two options - the travel dates are the same. The first itinerary option is the same as last year; the second replaces a few days with a trip to the XI'AN Terra Cotta Soldiers. _____________ Itinerary # 1 Itinerary # 2 On either tour you will visit memorable sites, both ancient and modern, and enjoy a multitude of unforgettable experiences. Of professional interest, you will also learn a great deal about how the Chinese business system operates. Many people travelling on this trip are purely sightseers, and the trip is an excellent vacation. We are convinced that this will be one of the most unique trips you will make. Please act quickly, as space is limited. Mission to China is an exceptional value. The cost for Itinerary #1 is $1,599 and optional Itinerary #2 is $2,049 (per person, based on double-occupancy,) and includes your round trip airfare, 5-star or 4-star hotel accommodation, deluxe tour bus, a knowledgeable English-speaking tour guide in each city, three full meals every day, fees for all attractions and any applicable taxes. (A single room is available as an upgrade for $450 and an upgrade to business class on the round trip flight is $4,500.)

An invaluable pre-tour briefing for all participants will be held on Thursday, June 3rd in the evening a time and location in South Pasadena to be announced later in South Pasadena. At that time we will answer all of your questions and familiarize you with details. CITSLINC has 29 years of experience in the China tour business and we're confident that they can respond to your inquiries to your satisfaction. More Details Whether you have questions on tipping or taxis, luggage or lunches, customs or rest rooms we will prepare you well for your adventure. China is a modern country, so you need not feel as though you are preparing to travel back in time, to a less sophisticated society. In many instances, the country is not "behind" so much as "different." For example, you will find very few ATM machines, but travelers checks and credit cards are accepted everywhere. Leave your checkbooks and check cards behind. The electricity in China is 220 volts and an adapter is required to operate even an American hair dryer. However, both the adapter and the hair dryer are available at the hotels in which we will be staying. Though you will be treated to sumptuous regional foods, you may forgo the chopsticks and grab a Big Mac or a plate of KFC wings. To the dismay of some traditionalists, you may also partake of a genuine Starbucks late. We hope you will join us! Terms & Conditions - Overview A non-refundable registration fee of $200 per person is required and due at the time you register and no later than August 1, 2008 This will be deducted from your total tour fare, the balance of which will be due before August 1. Securing or updating a passport is your responsibility, and you may also take care of the required visa yourself. However, if you wish us to handle the visa application, you will need to provide us with your passport, a signed visa application form, two passport photos and $145 before October 1, 2008. We will return your passport to you in a timely manner. Should you need assistance completing the visa application, please ask us. More terms and conditions apply.
